From the Start
With pregnancy comes excitement, cravings, monthly milestones . . . and maternity clothes (to name a few). During these nine months, we understand that moms-to-be still want to look their best and not have to sacrifice their fashion sense or forego buying their favorite labels just because they're pregnant.
The need to provide the St. Louis marketplace with access to high-end maternity fashions, coupled with the desire to offer expectant mothers more variety, sparked us to open the door of our fine maternity boutique in the summer of 2005. Queen Bee quickly gained a reputation for offering local access to the latest trends, fashions and labels worn by today's hottest celebrities from New York to Tinsel Town.
Nestled in the heart of downtown Clayton, we carry Diane Von Furstenburg, Chiarakruza, Liz Lange, Cadeau, Citizens of Humanity and many of the other "it" designer labels, in maternity sizes. If you're looking for business suits, outerwear, cocktail dresses, lingerie, or specialty pampering items . . . we've got it. We also carry unique baby shower gifts, Planetjill Custom Photo Jewelry, diaper bags and more. And, we recently added several designer baby and toddler lines and will continue to expand this area of our store.

Co-owners
Jen Dunaway, a St. Louis native, is the founding co-owner and one of the masterminds behind the creation of this high-end boutique. She earned a marketing degree from Maryville University in 1997. This, coupled with her experiences as a pharmaceutical-sales rep has aided in this business endeavor by giving her the management knowledge and skills needed to successfully anticipate and navigate the many challenges and opportunities of entrepreneurship. Jen lives with her husband, Jason, in Ladue.
Nicole Moore, also a St. Louis native, joined Jen as a co-owner in February of 2006. Her interest in this business venture originated from her lifelong passion for fashion and her desire to run her own business. Her background in psychology and sociology at Maryville University lent itself to the people-focused retail industry and the distinctive customer service orientation of Queen Bee. Her entrepreneurial inspiration comes from her father, who also runs his own retail business, and was fulfilled with the encouragement of her twin sister's co-worker, who connected Nicole with Jen in late 2005. Nicole resides in downtown St. Louis with her fiance.
Together, Jen and Nicole are succeeding in providing an intimate shopping experience and inviting ambiance for St. Louis area moms and their families.
